About the Journal

Universal Journal of Pharmaceutical research (UJPR) is a peer-reviewed, bi monthly published open access journal aiming to publish original research papers, scientific commentaries, views and review articles, and editorial commentary in the field of the pharmaceutical sciences. The aim of UJPR is to serve as a means for updating the scientific knowledge of the international audience in the pharmaceutical forum and to promote scientific and pharmaceutical research activities related to pharmaceutical education and research, by promoting social contacts among pharma professional of the world.

Our purpose is to honor eminent academicians, researchers and young scientists involved in the upliftment of pharmacy profession. UJPR welcomes the original research articles, reviews, short communications and case studies relevant to the Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Research. It is a platform for all students, and pharma professionals to improve the knowledge of in the various fields of pharmacy by providing valuable resources in the form of articles to develop their career further.

The Editors welcome articles in this multidisciplinary field, with a focus on topics relevant for drug discovery and development. The publishing policy of UJPR is to select the most important papers with the broadest significance to the wider pharmacy community. Papers that are multidisciplinary or address new or emerging areas of pharmacy are particularly encouraged.

SCOPE

The scope of the journal is devoted to publish manuscripts relating in the following disciplines:

EDITORIAL POLICIES

Universal Journal of Pharmaceutical Research will be published 6 times annually: January-February, March-April, May-June, July-August, September-October, and November-December.

On submission, editors review all submitted manuscripts initially for suitability for formal review. Manuscripts having insufficient originality, serious scientific or technical flaws, or lack of a significant message are rejected before proceeding for formal peer-review. The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted. The order of naming the contributors should be based on the relative contribution of the contributor towards the study and writing the manuscript. Once submitted the order cannot be changed without written consent of all the contributors.

The journal prescribes a maximum number of six (06) authors for manuscripts depending upon the type of manuscript, its scope and number of institutions involved. The authors should provide a justification, if the number of authors exceeds these limits.

Manuscripts are accepted with the understanding that the authors have followed ethical practice in preparation manuscripts. Receipt of all manuscripts will be acknowledged within one week and authors will be notified of the Editor’s decision as to whether the article will progress to peer review. Authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review, and should be prepared to provide public access to such data, if practicable, and should in any event be prepared to retain such data for a reasonable time after publication. Author/s is/are responsible for all the statements made in their work and if challenged should be willing to defend them publicly.

The journal reserves the right to make any further formal changes and language corrections necessary in a manuscript accepted for publication. Individuals who participated in the development of a manuscript but do not qualify as an author should be acknowledged. Organizations that provided support in terms of funding and/or other resources should also be acknowledged.

All authors should approve the final version of the manuscript prior to submission. Once a manuscript is submitted, it is therefore assumed that all authors have read and given their approval for the submission of the manuscript.

Contact information of all authors should be stated on the manuscript. Declaration of Conflicts of Interest should be stated in the manuscript.

The review process is an important aspect of the publication process as it helps an editor in making decision on an article and also enables the author to improve the manuscript. UJPR operates a double blind review process wherein the reviewers and authors are unaware of each other’s identity. Author(s) identity is removed from the manuscript and shielded from the reviewers during the review process. The reviewer is left with only the manuscript without any information that might enable him/her uncovers the identity of the author(s).

A review certificate is issued to reviewers after the review of the manuscript.

The review reports are sent to the authors. If a manuscript requires improvement, it is sent to the author(s) with the editor’s recommendation for further revision. On receipt of the author(s) revised manuscript, the original manuscript, the revised manuscript and the review reports are sent to the editor. This process is repeated till reviewers and editors are satisfied with the manuscript.

The editor-in-chief will make a final decision on the revised to “Accept” or “Reject” the manuscript.
